in 2014, I was asked by the founders of the Miami Marathon to design 25000 medals for all of the runners who finished the race. When speaking with them, I asked “Has anyone who had designed the medal ran the race?” The answer was no, and my next challenge was presented. With 3 months of training, and no history of running long distance, I successfully completed the marathon and was presented with MY MEDAL. This piece displays both my pure joy and unexplainable exhaustiong. Two lifetime accomplishments in one day.
